Rock Cultura Historias: Laura La Duquesa (Argentina)

Ella es una mujer con poco tiempo en el medio musical, en cuanto a su género, pero con una gran participación dentro de otros ámbitos culturales; poesía, modelaje, activista social.
Su disco debut aparece en el 2014 titulado "Intensamente" editado de forma independiente, con la mayoría de los temas de su propia inspiración.
Tuve la oportunidad de platicar con ella hace algunos días; de sus inicios, de su carrera, de los proyectos a futuro, y esto fue lo que comento.
¿hace cuanto comenzaste tu carrera y donde?
Comencé a los 18 años en una banda de metal... en el oeste del gran Buenos Aires.
¿porque el genero de la cumbia?
La cumbia nace en mi corazón, toma forma en mi mente y sale por mi voz. No puedo ni quiero evitarlo.
¿fue difícil colocarte en el medio?
Ha sido difícil y sigo luchando por instalarme, sin productora, sin casa discográfica ni oficina.
¿Todas las canciones son de tu autoria?
Casi todas las canciones son de mi autoría. INTENSAMENTE tiene dos temas de Bruno Lara, un gran compositor. Pero antes de lanzar INTENSAMENTE, lancé su disco promocional, con cinco temas.
¿Sobre que hablan tus canciones?
Mis canciones hablan sobre diversidad sexual, violencia de género, amor, política, desamor, sectores sociales.
¿Has tenido algún tipo de discriminación por ser mujer en este medio?
No me han discriminado por ser mujer, pero he tolerado acoso de parte de productores y difusores, por ejemplo, que pretenden canjear sus servicios a cambio de contacto. Una locura.
¿Como recibío el publico tu disco debut?
INTENSAMENTE fue muy bien recibido y mediante un sistema de venta por internet y envíos, lleva ya,dos mil unidades vendidas. Sin discográfica ni distribuidora, pues ha sido un éxito.
¿Quienes han influido en tu música?
Influyeron en mi música Camilo Sesto, Jose Luis Perales, Jose Velez, Eso en cuanto a las letras. En cuanto a la música, Gilda, los Charros.
¿Cual es tu opinión sobre la homosexualidad? (en uno de sus temas aborda el tema)
Creo que la diversidad sexual es un rasgo natural e inevitable del ser humano. y que demuestra falta de evolución intelectual no aceptar este hecho.
¿Hay alguna gira internacional para el próximo año?
No he tenido tiempo de sentarme a organizar giras. Pero se que vendrán.
¿Que países te gustaría visitar?
Me gustaría ir a Ecuador.
¿Hay algo que desees agregar?
DE LA CUMBIA VENGO, POR OTRA CUMBIA VOY.
