KLONDIKE KATE es una banda de Punk Rock femenino creada en Tacoma Washington dirigida por dos músicos femeninos que tocan y cantan.
Kate Roxwell toca la batería y canta, y Brenda Davidson toca el bajo y canta.
Desde su creación, su música ha evolucionado para hacer su propio sonido. Sus influencias son amplias, ella nos lo dice: "mis influencias musicales vienen de vieja escuela del punk rock como el de X- ray Specs, Generation X, Circle Jerks, Discharge, Black Flag, DRI, TSOL, e incluso los Dead Kennedys. También estoy influenciada por las bandas hardcore de los 80s como Deshumanizer, Dr Know, Noxius Fumes, Moral Crux, Fang y AMQA. Brenda, -quien toca el bajo en la banda-, y me encuentro con bandas femeninas como Grrl Riot, Frightwig, Bikini Kill, The Runaways, Slater Kinney y L7. Apoyamos todas bandas femeninas. Es una profesión difícil. En este momento estoy influenciada por la música que estoy rodeada. Me gusta escuchar a las bandas de mi amiga: 13 Scars, Angie in the Carwrecks, Toe Tag, Powerhitter, Millhaus, Warning Danger, y la lista sigue y sigue. Eso es lo bueno de escribir nuevas canciones uno puede tomar de las influencias de el pasado y de la actualidad y hacer su propio sonido."
Las canciones varían en género, desde hardcore hasta punk melódico. La banda fue fundada a principios de 2010 y ha recorrido todos los lugares a lo largo de Washington y la costa oeste de EE.UU.. Los lectores de la revista "The Weekly Volcano" votaron por la banda como "La mejor Banda de Punk Rock de Tacoma en 2013".

Como cualquier banda, su deseo es internacionalizarse y visitar paises como Argentina o Brasil, hacer una gira en Europa y Australia, pero Kate es categorica -Necesitamos hacer un plan para realizar una gira por Sudamerica, aún no esta previsto, se requiere financiamiento, pero si los fans quieren vernos en vivo nos arriesgariamos a hacerlo; y les envía un mensaje: -Nos encantaría recorrer Sudamérica y amamos a todos y cada uno de ustedes. Los rockeros punk que he visto son de apoyo e incondicionales, sigan rockeando!-

I listen to all genres of punk rock. There are so many excellent bands out there today. But my musical influences come from old school punk rock like that of X-ray Specs, Generation X, Circle Jerks, Discharge, Black Flag, DRI, TSOL, and even the Dead Kennedys. I'm also influenced by local 80s hardcore bands like Dehumanizers, Dr. Know, Noxious Fumes, Moral Crux, Fang, and AMQA. Brenda, who plays bass in the band, and I find female Riot Grrl bands influencial, like Frightwig, Bikini Kill, The Runaways, Slater Kinney and L7. We support every female rocker. It's a tough profession. Right now, I'm influenced by the music I'm surrounded with. I enjoy listening to my friend's bands: 13 Scars, Angie in the Carwrecks, Toe Tag, Powerhitter, Millhaus, Warning Danger, and the list goes on and on. That's the great thing about writing new songs is you can pull from influences in the past and from nowadays and make your own sound.
The songs vary in genre, from hardcore to melodic punk. The band was founded in early 2010 and has traveled all places throughout Washington and the US west coast .. The readers of the magazine "The Weekly Volcano" voted by the band as "Best Punk Band Rock of Tacoma in 2013.

Like any band, their desire is to internationalize and visit countries like Argentina and Brazil, to tour in Europe and Australia, but Kate is categorical, -We need to make a plan for a tour of South America, is not yet planned, funding is required, but if the fans want to see us live we would risk to do so; and sends them a message: -We love to travel around South America and we love each and every one of you.
