Alwaid es una banda de metal melódico de Lille, Francia. Que se ha ido abriendo paso dentro de la nueva ola de bandas de metal melódico que ha resurgido en toda Europa y poco a poco ha ido ganando espacios y escenarios, como el QUINPHONIC Fest, por nombrar alguno, y que en esta segunda edición se estarán presentando en dicho festival al lado de otras bandas. Alwaid es una banda con un sonido lleno de energía. La banda edito su primer demo en el verano de 2012. El año 2013 fue dedicado a presentaciones en vivo antes de que la banda ingresara al estudio para grabar su primer disco " Lacus Somniorum ", que fue lanzado en marzo de 2014.
Alwaid realizo una intensa gira de promoción que los llevo por el norte de Francia, Bélgica y Reino Unido. La banda lleva el nombre de una estrella que evoca un mundo nocturno y onírico, y cada canción de este álbum "Lacus Somniorum" cuenta su propia historia, siguiendo las diferentes etapas del sueño, de la vigilia a la inconsciencia, de insomnio a las pesadillas. Alwaid espera editar su segundo álbum en este año.
La banda se esfuerza por crear una diversidad de ambientes, a veces apoyándose en estructuras sinfónicas y algunas veces en las guitarras de heavy metal más agresivas, sin olvidar una serie de piezas más oscuras con gruñidos masculinos que se combinan con las melódicas voces femeninas.

Alwaid is a melodic metal band from Lille, France. Which it has been making its way into the new wave of melodic metal bands that has emerged throughout Europe and has slowly been gaining spaces and scenarios, such as QUINPHONIC Fest, to name a few; and that in this second edition will be presented at the festival alongside other bands. Alwaid is a band with a sound full of energy. The band released their first demo in the summer of 2012. The year 2013 was dedicated to live performances before the band enters the studio to record their first "Lacus Somniorum" album, which was released in March 2014. Alwaid conducted an intense promotional tour that took them through northern France, Belgium and the UK. The band is named after a star that evokes a night and dream world, and every song on this album "Lacus Somniorum" tells its own story, following the different stages of sleep, wakefulness to unconsciousness, sleepless nightmares . The band strives to create a variety of environments, sometimes relying on symphonic structures and sometimes in the guitars of heavy metal more aggressive, not to mention a series of darker pieces with male growls combined with melodic female vocals.
